Kiki’s is a popular Greek restaurant located in the Lower East Side of New York City that serves authentic and affordable Greek cuisine. The restaurant is known for its lively atmosphere, generous portions, and high-quality food.
Abigail Ryu (abbyfood) : This was my second visit. Absolutely LOVED the salad and fried cheese- would come back for these two. But eggplant hummus and pita was mid. Pita bread was a bit hard and not warm enough.Cheesecake was 6/10, cheese part tasted pretty yummy but very blend. The base was too hard Love the ambiance, def returning for brunchGoogle Reviews
T Zhou : NOT WORTH THE HYPE. There’re a million better restaurants in the area that are ran with care. This restaurant does the bare minimum and somehow it’s viral? The chicken used in lemon chicken was too fatty, showing its poor quality. The Moussaka is good but nothing out of your expectation. The plates are straight up plastic, the utensils are lighter than the disposable ones. A truly mediocre restaurant.Google Reviews
ElizaBeth Clowes : Trendy and cute with some decent food items, but leaves a lot to be desired. Half of the staff was nice, the other half were standoffish or plain rude. The decor attempts to be rustic and breezy but by the time we left I was convinced it was just cheap and sloppy. Our table was so wobbly that our food nearly fell off twice when wait staff touched it (this is after they put something underneath), and for being a very average sized person my chair felt ready to collapse under my 135 lbs. Our two top table was awkwardly placed in a walking space such that a server abrasively told me that my little purse hanging from my chair “was seriously in the way.” Had they asked me to move it, I’d not have thought twice. As for the food, the eggplant dip was tasty, as were their beans and fries, but the pita tasted straight from a mid-level bag, and they serve our $40 bottle of wine in chunky water glasses. I still had a nice time but it was 95% because of the company and the sunshine. Wouldn’t go out of my way for this place.Google Reviews
Khoi Pham : Cool spot for Greek eats. Some personal favorites were the beet salad, the spanakopita and the pastitchio. We lined up 5 minutes before opening and were able to secure a spot for a group of 3.Google Reviews
William Clark : What an excellent meal! The service was outstanding and the vibe is excellent. If you are hungry for home style Greek food, this is seriously the spot for you.Greek salad, zucchini chips, and tzatziki…no brainer to start. Add a mixed grill…and you are golden. The lamb chops are unbelievable! Throw in a couple Fix beers to wash down the delicious fries.Overall, super authentic and great service = wow!Google Reviews
Shukang L : Absolutely in love with this place. The Greek yogurt was honey was such a gem. Even better than the yogurt I had in Greece. The staff were super kind. Loved the vibe.Google Reviews
Evan Kotsovinos : Ordered from Kiki’s last night for dinner. Mostly impressed, though not fully.Let’s start with the positives. The broad beans (gigantes) were fresh and tasted right and authentic. Portion was good. The lemon chicken was good though not the best I’ve had — potatoes were slightly undercooked. The bifteki (beef burger) was probably the best thing we had.On the negative side, the imam (eggplant dish) was pretty poor. Way undercooked for Greek standards, the eggplant was hard and bland. It also lacked quite a bit of olive oil. Also, the bread was strange and disappointing — a mix of toast and pita, and cut in strange pieces that almost looked like it had been served before.Overall, it was ok, but I’d take the imam off the menu (or change the recipe) and really up their game on breadGoogle Reviews
Brock Zych : Great food and a fun atmosphere! It was a little loud for my preference but the $14 Greek salad saved the day!Google Reviews
LJ With no K : Walked by this place plenty of times on my way to and from work and finally stopped in. Should have come through a year ago. Everything we had was very good and the prices were reasonable for NYC. Great spot for a date though I brought my brother. If you’re going on a Friday or Saturday night plan to wait if you don’t have a reservation. This place seems to have gotten even busier than usual.Google Reviews
francesco conte : Great food, nice people, good price – only just too loudGoogle Reviews
AS SAWA : The best Greek food I have ever had in my life. All the dishes are delicious. The service are amazing. Staff is very nice and friendly. It is pretty crowded both lunch and dinner. I am not sure they take a reservation since I walked in twice from my visit.Zuchhini cheese is the best. Crispy and cheese but so yummy. The best ever. The greek salad is amazing.Grilled Octopus one is also my favorite as well.Grilled Cheese on sear pan also nice.Google Reviews
Earnest Ly : Food overall was ok. Zucchini fries were actually really good and calamari was a pretty good deal. Mains weren’t great. Braised lamb didn’t have too much flavour and no side. Chicken portion was generous but not that tasty.Pretty cramped space and not worth waiting in line for tbh. Don’t really understand the hype besides the cheap wine.Google Reviews
green ojos : Good spicy feta spread, pastitchio, lamb chops.Tarasamalata and lemon potatoes were blend.Nice service but crooked seating outside.Google Reviews
Bonnie : I really enjoyed our meal here! The grilled octopus had great char and tasted very fresh. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The moussaka plate was strangely sweet. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be sweet normally but I wasn’t a fan.Google Reviews
Mamadou Diallo : Come and share the zucchini fries and enjoy the vibes. That’s all I would go for imo.The vibes were cool. Good hang out spot. But food was mid. Lamb chops, meat platter and lemon potatoes were all underwhelming, especially for the price. There’s much better Greek style food elsewhere.Google Reviews
Chris Lambrinos : Best Greek food in the US. This is coming from a Greek. Feta was creamy and delicious. Tasted like my παππού made it.Google Reviews
Jessica Lu : Really yummy Greek food for a reasonable price. Get the spanakopita, moussaka, & tzatziki. Dimly lit setting. Kiki is popular and doesn’t take reservations, so prepare for long wait times to be seated. Took 1.5 hrs for 2 people on a weekend night.Google Reviews
Jono Eshleman : So much seating, perfect for a casual date or small group. No frills quality Greek cuisine w/plenty of offerings and formats to choose from. Stand outs are the grilled octopus and lemon potatoes.4 stars because they accepted a “B” health inspection score :/ I hope Kiki’s turn that around soon so we can order guilt-free!Google Reviews
Khang Tran : This place honestly lives up to the expectation of a good quality and fair priced meal. Went there with a party of 3 and we all left stuffed, our wallets too!We ordered the eggplant dip, grilled octopus, fried zucchini, lemony potatoes, and the mixed grill. While pretty much everything ranged from decent to great, the octopus was a clear loser. The octopus was not properly grilled and could’ve used a few more minutes on the grill. It had a really strong raw taste which could not be hidden by the sauce and the texture was halfway between cooked and raw. Also hurts that it costs as much as an entree at $18. (5/10)The eggplant was creamy and somewhat smokey with a nice touch of sweetness from nuts, but I’ve had better. The pita and bread that it came with could’ve been grilled or toasted at least briefly but it was serviceable. It cost $8 and a decent amount of eggplant and carbs produced. (7.5/10)The lemony potatoes were decent, well cooked to tender and the sauce was alright. Cost $10 and decent amount provided. 7/10The fried zucchini are thinly sliced so each piece can get a nice crisp to the bite, with a nice sprinkle of cheese on top. The flavor was the overly salty and it was also not overly greasy. The portions were great and the cost was very fair at ~$10, however there were a few pieces. 8/10Lastly we get to the mixed grill, honestly the highlight of the menu and I’d say that everyone should get it. We could’ve only gotten the mixed grill and the 3 of us would’ve been full without any appetizers. There were a mountain of nice and crisp fries soaking up the rendered meat juices. The creamy yogurt sauce on the side helps cut down the greasy taste and adds a nice acidic zing. The beef patty was an extremely tender and delicious ball of flavor, the seasoning was basic but basic can be everything you need. If they made it a burger, I’d consider it one of the better burgers you can find in NYC. The sausage was fairly tasty and smoky, not an amazing sausage but not bad either. Lastly the lamb, and it was sadly something that I would consider the reason I can’t give this dish a 10. It was cooked decently to a medium but there was pretty much no flavor. Seeing the lamb next to the beef and sausage is like looking at the ugly ducking but there’s no swan at the end of this story. In consideration for the beef, sausage, and the mountain of fries being able to feed 3 grown adult men coming in hungry and leaving stuffed for $46 (yes this was somehow only $46). 9/10If you want to find a place where you can feed an army on a moderate budget, look no further than Kiki’s. It definitely lives up to expectations.Google Reviews
Henrique Figueiredo : I really loved the way the place was decorated. I went there with my wife and kids, and everything we had was tasty. A Greek friend recommended this place to us and told us that this is the real deal. However, if you are used to American-sized portions, you may be a little disappointed. The waiters are competent but not very friendly.Google Reviews
Krissan Pattugalan : Amazing little greek corner restaurant with delicious food and the exterior of a Chinese printing place. The food was absolutely delicious and affordable. And I love that they mixed some Chinese items through the decor to really marry the 2 concepts. …Google Reviews
Charlie O’Neill : Great spot. House wine is a deal. The white especially was very drinkable. Everything came out very fast. Recommend the tzatziki and the pork chops. Fries are delectable. Will be back very soon. …Google Reviews
nikki : No signage outside, but trust the map and the crowd waiting to be seated. We had an early dinner so we had no problem being seated with a party of 5. Reservations not accepted, but if there’s a line, enjoy a drink outside! …Google Reviews
Liora Fiksel : I love the place for the price and portions. It’s one of the only restaurants where I order different dishes each time I return because they are all so good. It’s perfect for family style. I always order the saganaki and lamb chops without exceptions …Google Reviews
